Marie Curieosity, Featured Performer
Marie Curieosity isn’t your typical burlesque performer. Instead of finding the charm of simply being sexy on stage, she was enthralled with the history of burlesque from it’s Vaudeville evolution through it’s current day incarnation. Her penchanct for history and drama were the perfect combination to begin her foray into modern day burlesque. With 25+ years on the stage and 8 of those years focusing on burlesque, she has been able to meld intelligence, character, and sexy on the stage with her unique performance style that ranges from hilarious to unflinchingly serious. As a founding member of Plan 9 Burlesque she is taking her love of dance and theater to help create a new outlet for all Chicago burlesque dancers who want to break out of the traditional mold. With the rest of Plan 9, she’s aiming to redefine Chicago burlesque; succeed where others have failed and create a group based on talent, drive, dedication, and equality. She can also turn herself into a variety of dinosaurs. Her favorite form is currently a tie between a t-rex and a deinonychus.

Saucy Jack, Host
Saucy Jack cut his teeth as a burlesque emcee with Vaudezilla at the end of 2010, and is happy to be back for his 5th Windy City Burlesque Fest. He’s naughty but never nasty, clever without being crude, loves alliteration, and is damned cuddly. He’s a fan of whiskey, spankings, and any meat cooked less than medium rare. He plans to spend most of the summer dressed as a pirate for professional reasons.

Vallery Dolls, Host
Vallery Dolls is thrilled to be making her first appearance at Windy City Burlesque Festival. A proud member of Vaudezilla! Burlesque, this baritone bombshell has been shouting and screeching her way across Chicago stages for over eight years. An unusual addition to the Chicago drag scene, Vallery enjoys singing everything from show tunes and standards to obscure songs by the likes of Tom Waits and Tori Amos. If you should see Vallery in the lobby, please feel free to say hello, but approach her slowly and with caution. She probably hasn't eaten since the start of the show and may appear skittish or disoriented. Remember, she's more afraid of you than you are of her.
